Mrs Kirkland, Groby

This recent project of ours in an historic 18th century listed townhouse in Groby is small, but one of our favourite projects to date and was a privilege to work on. The antiquity of the house and some challenges with the angles of the room and the levels of the original brick floor meant it had its challenges, but we overcame them and delivered what we feel is a sympathetic and yet contemporary and practical kitchen design.

In this case we have the ever-popular Sovereign Limestone kitchen cabinetry with antique bronze knob/cup handles, Duropal Nutmeg Bijoux Oak laminate worktops, Franke composite sink and tap, metro wall tiling and all finished off with retro Smeg oven, hob and cooker hood.

"Summer 2025 saw my kitchen in a shabby state. Leigh was invited to give me a quote, and before I knew it plans had been created with great care and detail. Leigh has the gift of knowing exactly what is needed, offering help and suggestions on the various options available. Autumn 2025 saw Leigh’s Kitchen Creations take shape in my home. The fitting was undertaking by Byron, who without doubt is meticulous in his work, and over the weeks my beautiful kitchen took shape. The brothers worked exceedingly hard creating and installing my kitchen, and I must add being an old cottage with nothing square or level had its moments. Without any doubt I would recommend Kitchen Creations, dealing with a small local company was very worthwhile, nothing was too much trouble, and the outcome is amazing."
